Florian Sametinger

Florian thinks of design as a contribution to holistic regenerative systems – analytically, methodically, and theory-based. He translates insights into applicable tools, finds the right words for complex contexts, and brings new ideas to the table in a structured way.

Florian is co-founder and co-director of KITE. He received his PhD from the Berlin University of the Arts in design research with a focus on sustainable transformation and social participation. He has led numerous research projects on eco-social innovation, citizen participation, and sustainable design and has been a professor of design research in Linz since 2023.

At KITE, he is responsible for brand image, visibility, and scientific connections. He also serves as a sparring partner for business strategy at KITE.
