We create user experiences for the healthcare sector that are clear, accessible, and safe to use. Our research and design support clinical decision-making, improve workflows, and strengthen communication between patients and healthcare professionals—even under pressure. With expertise in medical usability and a deep understanding of clinical routines, we develop digital solutions that stand the test of everyday care.

Our services - entrypoints & further development

KITE accompanies projects from the initial understanding of a challenge to the usable solution. We offer compact starter packages and also develop long-term formats with you.

  • UX Check
Do you already have a digital product, application or service in use? We analyze in a clinical context what works well and what does not.

Result: Usability & action recommendations for optimization
  • Process Analysis Clinic
We analyse specific processes – e.g. on the ward or during a procedure – from the user's perspective.

Result: Visualized weaknesses & prioritized potentials, structured & presentable
  • Co-Creation Sprint
Following an analysis or directly as an introduction: In an intensive workshop, we bring together all relevant roles to develop creative solutions together.

Result: Initial solution concepts & sketches, supported by your own team

Designing healthcare that understand people

Before we design, we analyze—in detail, on site, and across disciplines. We conduct interviews and focus groups with medical staff, perform contextual inquiry to observe processes, and understand who is involved through stakeholder mapping. This helps us develop robust concepts grounded in real-world practice.

We reinforce our findings with personas and roleplay, using them to test assumptions, explore edge cases, and simulate emotional and cognitive responses. Through user journeys and process visualisations we make complex workflows, roles, and system interactions visible and understandable.

Together with healthcare professionals and patients, we co-create solutions in ideation and co-creation workshops. We structure early thinking through card sorting and concept prototyping, and develop final designs using wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes

We validate these insights and solutions through targeted surveys and usability testing to ensure that designed processes and interfaces support quick orientation, minimize errors, and reduce cognitive load.

Selected Projects

Our work builds bridges—between research and practice, between technology and clinics, between humans and machines.

We collaborate with clinics, research teams, and health tech companies who develop or improve digital systems, from AI-supported diagnostics to workflow optimization in cath labs and complex cancer treatments, with a particular interest in inclusive health tools for FLINTA* communities.
