Designing healthcare that understand people

Before we design, we analyze—in detail, on site, and across disciplines. We conduct interviews and focus groups with medical staff, perform contextual inquiry to observe processes, and understand who is involved through stakeholder mapping. This helps us develop robust concepts grounded in real-world practice.

We reinforce our findings with personas and roleplay, using them to test assumptions, explore edge cases, and simulate emotional and cognitive responses. Through user journeys and process visualisations we make complex workflows, roles, and system interactions visible and understandable.

Together with healthcare professionals and patients, we co-create solutions in ideation and co-creation workshops. We structure early thinking through card sorting and concept prototyping, and develop final designs using wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. 

We validate these insights and solutions through targeted surveys and usability testing to ensure that designed processes and interfaces support quick orientation, minimize errors, and reduce cognitive load.
