How we work

  • We conduct research
Context-driven, interdisciplinary, and with methods that make connections tangible.
  • We disrupt
We open up new perspectives and question what is often taken for granted.
  • We think in the everyday
Routines, roles, and environments shape our actions. We make them visible and turn them into actionable ideas.
  • We design playfully
Our outcomes take many forms—interfaces, maps, publications, walk-in spaces, or card games.

We explore the why and design the how.

Depending on the field, we set different priorities: In health UX, we support interdisciplinary teams through qualitative research and help develop usable interfaces—for example, by interviewing medical staff or observing procedures in the OR. In responsible tech projects, we analyze the tensions between norms, expectations, and real-world applications. In social design, we work closely with local groups to create co-creation formats that enable genuine participation.

We are interested in the interplay between people and their everyday environments, between technologies, institutions, and social dynamics. Our designs translate research insights into tools that move processes forward, enable participation, and have a tangible impact.

  • User Experience Design
We design intuitive, inclusive, and robust interfaces that support critical workflows, whether in healthcare, administration, or civic tools.
  • Prototyping & Interface Design
From first sketch to high-fidelity prototype, we translate ideas into interactive models, test them early, and iterate with users.
  • Usability Studies
We evaluate products and services through user testing, heuristic review, and targeted feedback to ensure clarity, safety, and accessibility.
  • Visualization & System Mapping
We visualize complex systems, interactions, and stakeholder relations to build shared understanding and support decision-making.
  • Qualitative Research
We conduct interviews, shadowing, contextual inquiry, and field studies to capture real-world routines, tensions, and needs.
  • Quantitative Research & Surveys
We develop targeted surveys and small-scale quantitative formats to complement qualitative insights and ground decisions in evidence.
  • Technology Research
We analyze emerging technologies with a critical lens, focusing on usability, regulatory frameworks, economic viability, and ethical implications.
  • Method Development & Data Analysis
We design custom research methods and analyse them through thematic analysis, video-based evaluation, and other formats tailored to your context.
  • Co-Creation Workshops
We facilitate co-creation formats that bring stakeholders together to develop ideas, tools, and strategies collectively.
  • Participatory Design Processes
We enable meaningful participation by designing structures that include diverse voices, especially in transformation, tech, and governance.
  • Strategy Development & Organizational Support
We support teams and institutions in aligning their goals, processes, and offerings with the needs of their communities.
  • Publications & Conference Contributions
We turn research into impact—by preparing findings for publication and contributing to debates at national and international events.
  • Graphic Design & Publication Layout
We design clear, appealing layouts that make content accessible, whether for academic publications, toolkits, or public communication.
  • Creative and Unusual Formats
We develop experimental settings like escape games, simulations, or critical design scenarios to engage with AI, data protection, and systemic change in a hands-on, thought-provoking way.
